New Delhi : Eyeing at establishing of new businesses in the state, the Odisha government has decided to launch training programs for the youngsters and potential entrepreneurs.
Prafull Samal, MSME Minister in a meeting with officials from the MSME department decided to mark Entrepreneurship with high priority in the state. Aiming to train at least 10,000 youth in the current fiscal year, the government is likely to launch the program soon.
The program will be formulated jointly by the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED) in Bhubaneswar, MSME DI in Cuttack, DICs, COIR and COIR board. Also the panel discussed moving ahead and incorporating Digital India in making the raining available to a larger group. Along these lines, a 6 week long Learning and Development program will be made available to the youths through the Start-up Odisha online portal. This will be provided free of cost.
In the meeting the DICs were asked to encourage linking of the businesses with the Udyog Aadhar.
Key officials present at the meeting included Director of various industries, CEOs, IED, officials from COIR Board, representatives from COID board and other senior officers from the MSME department.
Also the MSME department in the state is keen to boost the downstream industries, for which a meeting of representatives from Central PSUs, State PSUs and vendors is being called.
